Description
Broad, arrow-shaped leaves in deep green, laced with silver veining and held up on stems the colour of rhubarb. Flip a leaf over and the underside is a rich burgundy, which makes it worth looking at from every angle. This is a plant that draws the eye from across a room without being large, and the pink stems are what people always end up asking about.

Light
Bright, indirect light. Direct sun scorches the leaves and dulls the silver veining. A spot near an east-facing window is close to ideal.
Water
Alocasias are not drought-tolerant and will brown at the tips if left dry too long, but they also rot easily in soggy soil. Aim for consistently and lightly moist, never wet, and check with a finger rather than a schedule.
Humidity
It wants humidity, and it lets you know when it isn't getting it. 50 percent or higher keeps it happiest, so group it with other plants or keep it near a humidifier through the winter.
A note on winter
Alocasias often drop most of their leaves and rest through the colder months. This is normal and not a sign you have done anything wrong. Keep the soil barely moist, stop feeding, and it will push new growth again in spring.

Weather Conditions
Weather conditions may affect our delivery process. During the summer, flowers may have a shorter lifespan due to heat, so our driver will place them in a shaded area whenever possible. In winter, if the temperature falls below 0°C, there is a risk of flowers freezing. In such cases, we will do our best to find a neighbor who can accept the delivery instead. A notification will be sent once the flowers have been delivered. To keep them fresh, please retrieve your flowers as soon as possible.
