When Flowers Meet Art: Our "Strawberry Matcha" Installation at Twist Gallery

Last week, we had the pleasure of creating this beautiful floral installation as a part of Twist Gallery's 2026 open house. Having worked with Twist Gallery before, we knew of its important role in Toronto's contemporary art scene and had the perfect colour palette to showcase. 

Strawberry Matcha has been gracing the boards of Pinterest for some time now and it was finally our time to give it the May Flower's love.

Why Twist Gallery was the perfect canvas

We love an art gallery wedding. Art invites conversation, movement, and interpretation, and that's exactly the type of mood we want our flowers to evoke. These days, flowers are not just passive decorations, they are a key part of the atmosphere, and gallery spaces, like Twist Gallery, are where these floral installations feel especially powerful.

The concept: colour + form

 

Our vision for the installation was to use the trending "strawberry matcha" colour palette and create a more immersive atmosphere rather than a single focal point. We used hydrangeas at scale to create volume, and smaller floral accents throughout for movement and visual interest.
